The Sheriff’s Criminal & Accident Reports page lists in-person, mail, and email routes. Mail requests require a money order. The published rate is 10 cents per page for a criminal report and $6 for a crash report. The county does not publish a separate booking-photo fee or a fixed turnaround time, so request a fee estimate for a particular existing record.
Choose the Record Path That Fits
Custody, court, warrants, and agency records are separate systems. Use the source that matches the person’s status and the question being asked.
- Current county jail custody: use the official El Paso County Jail Records search. It is identified by the county as current jailings only.
- County criminal, bond, court, or warrant information: start with the official County Records Search hub, including its criminal-case and warrant paths.
- A specific Sheriff booking record or photograph: use EPCSO Records by email, mail, or in person and identify the person, approximate booking date, and booking number if known.
- Sentenced state custody: search the official Texas Department of Criminal Justice locator. It is not a county booking search and TDCJ does not provide inmate photographs to the public.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the official Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Those systems represent separate custody categories.
