Official Sources, Explained
El Paso County uses an official Jail Records search for people currently listed in county jail records. That is narrower than a complete history of arrests. The Sheriff’s records route can be used for a specific existing booking record or photograph, while the county criminal-case search addresses what happens after booking. TDCJ maintains a separate locator for sentenced state custody. This site brings those distinct paths together, with the limits of each source stated plainly.
What This Reference Includes
The site is organized around the government source that matches the question, rather than around a collection of faces or copied arrest records.
- The county custody and booking-record guide, including the current-jailings search and records-request context.
- City-specific pages for El Paso, Socorro, and Horizon City.
- The official-first paths for court, warrant, and custody questions, including the Most Wanted Fugitives reference.
- Plain-language explanations of where a booking photo may be held, what may be withheld, and when the Sheriff’s Records Section is the appropriate next stop.
What This Site Cannot Do
This is an independently operated website, not an El Paso County office and not an affiliate of a sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or other government agency. It cannot verify whether someone is in custody, arrange a release, post a bond, obtain a government record, or give legal advice.
- Only the responsible government office can confirm present custody, charges, or release status.
- Only the record custodian can decide whether an existing booking record or photograph is releasable.
- Addresses, fees, procedures, and online access can change without notice.
Official confirmation matters. A booking entry is an accusation, not proof of guilt. Verify identity, date, agency, and any later court disposition through the office that created the record.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, privacy practices, and result availability. If a tool leads to a paid enrollment, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the free reference material. A referral relationship does not give this site control over a partner’s results, pricing, or records.
